It also forces men to either see a woman as a whore and desirable or as a motherly figure and someone to be admired. It isn’t just men who suffer from the Madonna-whore complex. The good news, or bad, depending on what you think morality is or how it should be defined, is that people are much more accepting of one another’s preferences. They also no longer must hide their internal sexual drives such as homosexuality or even bisexuality.

Sex is not only becoming less taboo to talk about, to watch, or to engage in, but it is also becoming less about morality or judgement. How the Internet is Changing Sexuality
The internet has moved sexuality from behind closed doors and brought it to every personal computer around the world. Changing the tide of sexual mores doesn’t happen overnight. My fifteen-year old *okay, not proud of it*, still tells me when someone in his class is a “slut,” which means that having sex too early or without the right circumstances is still not acceptable.

I don’t think that generations that come after will be able to relate to the Madonna-whore complex. Sure, there will always be the Norman Bateses of society, but on the whole, I think the gender gap is closing, people are becoming more open about accepting people and comfortable with both gender roles and social mores.
